Overview

Designed to rejuvenate the senses, body and soul, this 7-day Himalayan holiday tour is perfect for blowing the cobwebs from your mind and travel bags, letting the cool Himalayan wind blow off all signs of stress and simply bouncing back to great health.

Delight your senses with scenic views all along the way from Delhi to Shimla; once there, simply soak in the warm sunshine and fresh mountain air; drive to Kufri and let the adrenaline flow with a go-karting session at the world’s highest go-kart track!

The next destination we visit is Manali, where famous temples and monasteries resonate with spiritualism and bestow peace-of-mind to all visitors. Recharged to the very depths of your soul, you can then enjoy adrenaline-pumping activities such as paragliding, parachuting and zorbing at Solang Valley.

The Rendezvous in the Himalayas ends with a drop back at Delhi, but not before you get a glimpse of spectacular glaciers and snow-capped peaks from the high-altitude Mountain pass – Rohtang Pass. En-route, stop at Chandigarh for a break in the long drive and a sightseeing tour.

Day 01: Delhi – Shimla (350Km/8 hrs)

Your Rendezvous in the Himalayas begins today with a pick-up from your home/hotel/railway station or the airport in Delhi. Leaving behind the city traffic, enjoy a scenic drive to Shimla, stopping in-between for meals at designated points. On arrival at Shimla, proceed directly to the hotel for check-in. No activities are set for today leaving you free to pursue your own plans. Relax and refresh yourself after the long drive, stretch your legs with a nice, long walk and set out to explore the neighbourhood if that is what you wish. Overnight in Shimla

Day 02: Shimla

After an early breakfast, enjoy an excursion to Kufri, a hill station just 16 km from Shimla, at a slightly higher elevation famous for its skiing slopes in the winters. In summers, Kufri delights all the same but with a different set of attractions including a high-elevation Zoo, scenic viewpoints and an amusement park with the world's highest go-kart track. The excursion to Kufri ends with a drop, back to the hotel in Shimla. Refresh yourself and then set out once again to the Mall Road, where you can spend the evening, marvelling at the beautifully illuminated Christ Church, browsing through artefacts and souvenirs at the Lakkad Bazaar and visiting the Scandal Point. Day 03: Shimla - Manali (280 Km/8 Hrs)

After an early breakfast, checkout from your hotel and proceed to Manali, the next destination on your planned Rendezvous in the Himalayas. The route to Manali is lined with scenic vistas, thereby, offering plenty of photo ops. On arrival at Manali, proceed directly to the hotel for check-in. No activities are set for today leaving you free to pursue your own plans. Our advice: just relax and refresh yourself from the long drive. Overnight in Manali

Day 04: Manali

After breakfast, enjoy a guided Manali sightseeing tour. Visit Manali attractions such as Hadimba Devi Temple, the Buddhist Monasteries and Gompas, nature parks and trails and the Museum of Himachal Culture & Folk Art. Stop for lunch and then embark for an excursion to Solang Valley, a picturesque valley about 14 km from Manali, renowned as a centre for outdoors sports and activities. In winters, the Solang Valley transforms into one big snow playground with facilities for skiing, ski classes and even a ski lift to get to the top once again. In summers, once the snow melts away, the ground is clear once again for enjoying activities such as paragliding, parachuting and zorbing. The experience of soaring across the blue skies much like an eagle, looking down at the mountains and valleys blanketed in greenery with ribbons of streams and rivers far down below, is mesmerizing to say the least. The excursion to Solang Valley ends with a drop, back to the hotel in Manali. Overnight in Manali

Day 05: Manali

After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to Rohtang Pass, a high mountain pass nestled at an altitude of 13,054 feet above sea level, about 53 km from Manali, connecting Kullu Valley and the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys. Once at the Rohtang Pass, you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of snow-laden mountains, glaciers and peaks. In the event Rohtang Pass is inaccessible due to inhospitable weather conditions, closed roads, the day being Tuesday (weekly holiday) or any other unavoidable circumstances, then we visit Snow Point, which as its name implies, is laden up with snow all year round. The excursion ends with a drop, back to the hotel in Manali. No other activities are scheduled for today, leaving you at leisure to pursue your own plans. Relax, enjoy the hotel's facilities and set out to explore the mountain trails on your own. Day 06: Manali – Chandigarh (350 km/8 Hrs)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Chandigarh, the last destination of this Himalayan tour package. On arrival in Chandigarh, proceed directly to your hotel for check-in. Relax and refresh yourself, and then embark on a guided Chandigarh sightseeing tour, visiting attractions such as the Rock Garden, Zakir Rose Garden, Museum & Art Gallery, War Memorial & Bougainvillea Garden and Sukhana Lake. The Chandigarh sightseeing tour ends with a drop, back to the hotel. Overnight in Chandigarh

Day 07: Chandigarh – Delhi (250 Km/4 hrs) - Departure

After breakfast, we checkout from your hotel in Chandigarh and begin our drive back to Delhi, proceeding to your home, the airport or railway station in Delhi with sweet memories of your Rendezvous in the Himalayas with ToursinShimla.com
