Day 01:
Arrive Delhi

On arrival at Indira Gandhi International airport In
Delhi meet with our representative and after a warm
welcome proceed to the pre-booked hotel for a night
stay.
Day 02:
Delhi-Lucknow by flight Lucknow –Sravasti
(170kms/04hrs drive)
This morning fly to Lucknow. On arrival in Lucknow drive
to Sravasti. This city was the capital of the ancient
kingdom Kosala and has the honour for sheltering Buddha
for 24 rainy seasons in the Jetvana Gardens. After
freshen up enjoy guided visit to Maheth and Saheth.
Maheth, Identified with the remains of the city, cover
an area of about 400 acres. Excavations have exposed the
massive gates of the city, ramparts and also the ruins
of the structures, which stand testimony to the
prosperity of the ancient Saravasti, Saheth known
primarily as the site of the Jetvana monastery covers an
area of 32 acres, lying about quarter of a mile to south
west of Maheth, it become an important place of
pilgrimage, adorned with numerous shrines, stupas and
monasteries. Overnight stay at Sravasti.
Day 03:
Sravasti– Kapilvastu- Lumbini (252 kms /05hrs)
Drive down to Lumbini – the place where Lord Buddha was
born. Enroute visit Kapilvastu here Lord Buddha spent
the first Twenty nine years of his life. Overnight stay
at Lumbini.
Day 04:
Lumbini-Kushinagar (148 kms /04hrs)
Visit the birth place of Lord Buddha also attend the
religious ceremony. Later in the day drive down to
Kushinagar. This is the place where Lord Gautam Buddha
breathed his last. Enjoy guided tour of Kushinagar,
visiting Nirvana Stupa.Nirvana temple script houses the
6 mtr. long statue of reclining Buddha which was
unearthed in 1876,carved from the chunar sand stone, the
statue has an inscription below that dates the statue to
the the 5 century AD. Ramabhar stupa -referred to as
Mukt Bandhan Vihar in ancient Buddhist. This stupa marks
the site where the Lord Buddha was cremated. This large
stupa rises to a height of 49 ft.

Day 05:
Kushinagar-Vaishali-Patna (280 kms /06hrs)
Today drive down to Patna(previously known as Patliputra)
was capital city of Kingdom of Magdha. Enroute to Patna
visit Vaishal, a special place as Lord Buddha delivered
his last sermon here, and announced his impending
“Nirvana”, the 2 Buddhist council was held here after100
years of Buddha's”parinirvana”. Overnight Patna.
Day 06:
Patna-Nalanda-Rajgir (135kms/04hrs)
Start the day with visit to Patna museum. Later in the
day drive down to Rajgir. Enroute enjoy sightseeing tour
of Nalanda, visiting the ruins of Nalanda University
(the center of one of the oldest known universities of
the world). The ruins contains a number of Buddhist
Stupas & Chaityas, Monasteries, hostels, rooms on four
side with the central courtyard. Overnight stay at
Rajgir.
Day 07:
Rajgir-Bodhgaya (90kms/02hrs)
Today enjoy guided sightseeing tour of Rajgir visit-
Gridhkuta (Vulture's peak)-a hill on which Buddha
meditated, Bimbisara prison-King Bimbisar was imprisoned
here by his son Ajatsatru, Venuvan Vihara-a bamboo
garden of King Bimbisar which he gifted to Lord Buddha.
Afternoon drive down to Bodhgaya.
Day 08:
Bodhgaya
Bodhgaya is the place where Lord Buddha attained
enlightenment. This place is most sacred for Buddhism.
Visit Mahabodhi Temple main shrine of supreme
enlightenment, the Mahabodhi temple is unique among
other north Indian temples. It is an architectural
amalgamation of many century and culture, The Bodhi
tree-situated inside the temple premises, under which
Buddha attained illumination. Overnight at Bodhgaya.
Day 09:
Bodhgaya-Varanasi by train
Day free at Bodhgaya. Afternoon transfer to Gaya Railway
station to board for train to Varanasi. Transfer and
night stay at Varanasi.

Day 10:
Varanasi – Sarnath Excursion
Today enjoy excursion trip to Sarnath; one of the most
sacred town for Buddhism here Lord Buddha preached his
first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Visit
Dhamekh Stupa it is one of the prominent Buddhist
structures in India. Dhamekh Stupa was constructed by
the great Mauryan King, Ashoka. Also visit Ashok Stambha
and Sarnath Museum. Evening drive back to Varanasi and
enjoy a boat ride on river Ganges to witness the
prayers. Overnight at Varanasi.
Day 11:
Varanasi – Agra
Varanasi is the oldest living city of this world and
also most sacred place for Hinduism. Today enjoy guided
temple tour of Varanasi. Evening transfer to Railway
station for your overnight train to Agra-The city of Taj
Mahal. Night on board the train.
Day 12:
Agra sightseeing
Arrive Agra inn the morning and transfer to the hotel.
Later enjoy visit to Taj Mahal-Taj Mahal is a tear on
the face of eternity - as described by the famous Nobel
Laureate Rabindranath Tagore and symbolises eternal love
frozen in white Marble. Also visit Agra fort.
Day 13:
Agra-Delhi (204 kms/04 hrs)
Early morning drive to Delhi. On arrival visit some
important monuments in Delhi like Raj Ghat, India Gate,
President Palace, Humayun's Tomb and Qutab Minar.Later
in the evening an escorted transfer to the International
airport will be arranged as per your flight. |
